Meet Your Provider, Diane
Diane Lietz, MSN, APRN, FNP-C
I grew up on a farm in rural Illinois — and those roots shaped everything about how I practice. Hard work, honesty, compassion, and the belief that family comes first. Those aren't just values I talk about. They're how I was raised.
Healthcare runs in my family. My mother, my grandmother, my sister, my daughters — we are a family of nurses and healthcare professionals. I didn't stumble into this profession. I was called to it. As a Christian, I believe that caring for others is one of the most meaningful things we can do — and medicine has always felt like the most natural expression of that calling. I've never stopped believing that the best medicine happens when a provider genuinely cares about the person sitting across from them.
I became a nurse in 1989 because I wanted to actually help people — not move them through a system.
Thirty-seven years later, that hasn't changed. What has changed is my ability to do something about it.
After years in family practice, I kept running into the same wall. Not enough time with patients. Insurance that wouldn't cover what people actually needed. And the phrase I grew to dread most: "Your labs are normal" — said to someone who clearly didn't feel normal, and sent home without answers.
I knew there was a better way to practice medicine. So in 2023, I built it.
VGM Health started as DiNamic Wellness Clinic and has evolved into something I'm genuinely proud of — a practice built around the whole person. Not just a number on a lab report. Not just a symptom to manage. The whole you — your weight, your hormones, your skin, your energy, your drive, your quality of life.
I'm board-certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner and have been practicing telehealth since 2017 — long before virtual care became mainstream. I offer in-person care in Springfield and telehealth throughout Illinois, and I work with patients who are done settling for "normal" when they know they could feel so much better.
At VGM Health, you get my full attention. Every time. No rushed appointments. No rotating providers. No conveyor belt. Just one clinician who actually knows you — and has the time and the tools to go deep.
When I'm not seeing patients, I'm with my grandchildren — my favorite thing — or home with my family, tending to my flowers, or knee-deep in whatever house project my husband and I have taken on this season. I believe in building things that last — in medicine and in life.
If you're ready for a provider who listens, who looks at the whole picture, and who won't stop at "your labs are normal" — I'd love to work with you.
